The event will feature two separate panels - one dedicated to adults and caregivers, and the other focusing on the specific needs and concerns of youth. Presenters

Shaquita Bell, MD (She/Her)

Dr. Bell is the Senior Medical Director of the Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic. She is a pediatrician at Odessa Brown, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and Harborview Medical Center. Dr. Bell is dedicated to prevention, intervention, and support for people after experiencing human trafficking.

Maurice Washington

Maurice Washington is a detective with the Seattle Police Department, assigned to the Human Trafficking Unit. He is also a Task Force Officer with the FBI attached to the Seattle FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force. Maurice has held his current assignment with the Human Trafficking Unit and the FBI Task Force for over fourteen years. He has over 32 years of law enforcement experience, 22 years of undercover experience, and he is a master instructor for the Seattle Police Department. Maurice teaches human trafficking investigation classes (sex trafficking specifically) around the country and beyond and is a human trafficking expert witness in both state and federal courts. Maurice also teaches at the City of Seattle Sex Buyers Rehabilitation classes. He is responsible for investigating crimes of Promoting Prostitution and other related crimes and conducts this in traditional and undercover capacities. His unit's mission is preventing children and young women and men from being targeted for prostitution/sex trade, stopping or disrupting traffickers/pimps running these criminal activities and organizations, and rescuing and removing those who are already being victimized.


Kyra Abrahamson (she/her)

Kyra is the Executive Director at Washington Trafficking Prevention. As a nationally and internationally recognized Human Trafficking subject matter expert, Kyra has a background in direct service provision, advocacy, policy development, training, technical assistance, and prevention initiatives. During her career, she has contributed to groundbreaking anti-human trafficking initiatives with the United Nations, Port of Seattle, Attorney's General Office, and various state and local task forces.

Jasmine Conway (she/her)

Jasmine is a human trafficking prevention specialist at Washington Trafficking Prevention with a personal understanding of the long-term impact of commercial sexual exploitation. Jasmine identifies as an anti-exploitation advocate, who raises awareness of human trafficking, educates communities on exploitation as an intersectional issue, and engages community members in conversation to address its root causes and increase safety for everyone. Jasmine authored a memoir, titled From One Survivor to Another: A Personal Memoir and Call to Action Regarding Preventing and Healing From Sex Trafficking.

Renée Wallace

Renée Wallace is a powerful voice for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation, known for her unwavering commitment to justice. As a board member and the board secretary at Real Escape from the Sex Trade, she leads initiatives that empower survivors to rebuild their lives with strength and dignity, while advocating for prevention. Beyond REST, as the Health Care Access Program Manager at the YWCA, Renee tirelessly fights for equal access to quality healthcare, championing health equity for all.


As a captivating speaker, Renée enlightens audiences with her thought-provoking presentations that inspire action and shed light on survivor journeys. Renée fosters vital conversations that aim to prevent sexual exploitation, creating a safer, more equitable society for everyone.


Chelsea Olson

Chelsea is the commercial sexual exploitation (CSE) program manager at the Organization for Prostitution Survivors (OPS). Chelsea’s role at OPS is to serve CSE and CSE-C survivors in many capacities including case management, one-on-one advocacy and support, community outreach, assisting facilitation of groups, mentorship of interns, and helping women to build self-efficacy and agency in their lives; whatever that looks like for them. Chelsea’s heart is centered in empowering women and supporting survivors to build agency within their own lives.

Kelly J Mangiaracina, JD

The policy and program manager for the King County Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) Task Force. Since 2013, Kelly has facilitated a multifaceted response to child sex trafficking in the greater Seattle area. What she encounters in her work is reflective of child sex trafficking issues across the country.
